On 25 September 2015, more than 150 heads of state and government from around the world adopted the \u00a02030 Agenda<\/a>. It contains the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, a set of global targets designed to eradicate poverty, protect the planet and ensure global prosperity.
\nEach of the Sustainable Development Goals has specific targets to be achieved by 2030. It is important for governments, businesses and citizens to be aware of these goals in order to help achieve them.

Goal 1. End poverty.
\n<\/strong>Our company contributes every day to generate economic activity and employment by collaborating with local small businesses, artisans and farmers. We participate in vocational training courses to create opportunities for new skilled jobs for young people on the island.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Goal 2. End hunger
\n<\/strong>We contribute to agricultural and livestock productivity by consuming and collaborating with local small businesses.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\nWe promote nature and wellness tourism in which we encourage healthy habits through outdoor activities and exercise.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\nWe collaborate with the Education Department in the training of new professional mountain guides by completing their training with an internship at the end of their studies in our company.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\nWe promote work situations in conditions of gender equality, guaranteeing the same opportunities and rights for both men and women.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Goal 6. Water and sanitation. <\/strong>
\nWe are very conscious of the correct and efficient use of water.
\nBoth in our office and during our activities, we make travellers aware of the responsible use of water.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Goal 7. Affordable and sustainable energy<\/strong>
\nIt is of great importance for our company to reduce energy consumption in order to reduce the greenhouse effect. We consume local products to reduce our transport footprint. We reduce and optimise energy use in our office as much as possible.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Goal 8. Promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth.<\/strong>
\nWe collaborate with the Special Employment Centre, qualified by the Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs of the Canary Islands Government. They are our suppliers of sustainable gift items. We collaborate with the Ministry of Education in the training of new professional mountain guides, completing their training with an internship at the end of their studies in our company.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\nIn our office we consume fair trade products for small producers in other countries.

\nWe contribute to disseminating the cultural, heritage and natural values of our territory to our visitors. We promote the idea that we are all responsible for the care and conservation of our traditions and heritage.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Goal 12. Sustainable production and consumption.<\/strong>
\nWe promote sustainable production and consumption by selecting local products and taking into account the circular economy.
\nWe minimise waste generation and encourage the collection of any litter found during our outdoor activities.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\nWe promote the use of public transport for all our activities.

\nFor all our aquatic activities, we collaborate with companies that are recognised in the sector for their professionalism and are licensed to operate sustainably in the marine environment.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Goal 15. Protection of life and terrestrial ecosystems.<\/strong>
\nThe main objective of our company is the protection of the natural heritage in which we develop all our activities in a sustainable way. We transmit to all our travellers the importance of applying the code of conduct during this type of activities in nature.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
